Create and send a web push notification
Design a concise notification, attach products where useful, and preview it before delivery.
See it in Leado
What you’ll achieve
- A tested notification delivered only to eligible subscribed browsers, with a verified destination and measurable interactions.
Follow the workflow
-
1
Open Actions → Messages → Web Push
Select Create web push and confirm the website or commerce workspace. If setup is incomplete, finish Web Push settings before creating the campaign.
-
2
Write the notification
Add an internal name, a direct title, concise body, destination URL, icon, hero image, and buttons where supported. Put the main promise before text that a browser may truncate.
-
3
Configure product content
When product context adds value, select a recommendation source and a non-empty fallback. Personalize with behavior-based, replenishment, bestseller, newly added, or static products according to the controls available in the editor.
-
4
Review the live preview
Check desktop and mobile proportions, title/body truncation, image crop, icon clarity, product details, button labels, destination, and whether the notification makes sense without the image.
-
5
Choose a subscribed audience
Select only devices with active web-push subscriptions. Apply audience and consent filters, and avoid sending the same promotion through multiple channels at once without a frequency plan.
-
6
Save and test on this browser
Save the draft, opt this browser into test notifications, then select Send test to this browser. Click the test notification and confirm the landing destination.
-
7
Send and verify delivery
Publish after approval, then return to the Web Push list to review queued, sent, delivered, failed, and interaction metrics.
Verify your work
- Web Push setup shows ready
- Send test to this browser produces a clickable notification
- The campaign status and analytics update after sending
If something doesn’t look right
No test arrives
Allow notifications for the site, confirm this browser is subscribed, keep service-worker scope correct, and retry with the browser open.
Audience count is zero
The selected workspace has no compatible active subscriptions or the filters exclude them.
Image is missing
Use an HTTPS asset with a supported format and verify it is publicly reachable.
Limitations and safeguards
Browser and operating-system support differs; visual layout, buttons, delivery timing, and interaction reporting can vary by device.
