Expected outcome

What you’ll achieve

  • A type-appropriate Google Ads campaign created PAUSED in the intended customer account with an auditable platform resource ID.
Before you start

What you’ll need

  • A connected Google Ads account
  • Publish permission
Step by step

Follow the workflow

  1. 1

    Open Actions → Google Ads

Choose the connected customer account and review current campaigns and account context.

  2. 2

    Choose the campaign starting point

Select Search, Shopping, Performance Max, Display, or Demand Gen. Read the type-specific panel because keywords, product filters, static sizes, image/video assets, and bidding support differ.

  3. 3

    Set the common controls

Confirm customer ID, campaign name, daily budget in the account currency, dates, locations, language, destination, and the bidding strategy supported by the selected type.

  4. 4

    Complete type-specific assets

For Search, supply responsive headlines, descriptions, keywords, negatives, and final URL. For other types, use the visible product, image, logo, video, HTML5, audience, or asset controls and their stated limits.

  5. 5

    Validate the review surface

Check character limits, URL consistency, asset ratios and sizes, policy-sensitive claims, budget, conversion setup, and the selected customer before creation.

  6. 6

    Create the campaign PAUSED

Select Create paused campaign. Leado publishes the starting resources in PAUSED state so they can be inspected before any person enables delivery.

  7. 7

    Verify and monitor

Confirm the published-paused status and Google resource identifier, sync the account, then open campaign detail for status, spend, impressions, clicks, conversions, and type-specific detail.

Quality check

Verify your work

  • The draft status changes to published_paused and records a Google campaign resource
  • The campaign appears under the intended formatted customer ID after sync
  • Campaign detail displays PAUSED status and the expected type-specific structure
Troubleshooting

If something doesn’t look right

Create is unavailable

Verify the Google connection, selected customer, manager access, and publish permission.

Validation fails

Correct the type-specific required assets, character limits, URL, budget, bidding, location, or media constraint named in the error.

The campaign is created but absent from the list

Sync the account and verify that the resource customer ID matches the selected customer.

Scope

Limitations and safeguards

Limit

Google controls policy approval, serving eligibility, inventory, bidding, and attribution; a PAUSED resource can still require additional work in Google Ads before launch.
