Expected outcome

What you’ll achieve

  • A Shopify connection whose domain, permissions, sync state, and available store counts are understood before campaign work begins.
Before you start

What you’ll need

  • A Shopify administrator account
  • Permission to install apps and approve data access
Step by step

Follow the workflow

  1. 1

    Start from the Shopify connection

Open the Shopify connection from onboarding or Settings and enter the store domain when requested.

  2. 2

    Approve the requested scopes

Review Shopify’s permission screen and approve access. Leado uses the granted scopes for products, orders, customers, discounts, pixels, and online-store pages supported by your plan.

  3. 3

    Return to the correct workspace

After authorization, confirm that the store is shown as active and selected in Leado. Check that the store domain identifies the intended Shopify shop before continuing.

  4. 4

Allow the initial sync to finish

Large catalogs and order histories can take time. On the connected-store card, check the last sync and the product, customer, order, discount, webhook, and pixel-event counts while the first synchronization runs.

  5. 5

    Check connection readiness

Review granted permissions, customer identity availability, webhooks, pixel state, and any issue displayed for the store. Use Products, Contacts, Orders, and Catalogs afterward for separate field-level checks.

Quality check

Verify your work

  • The connected store domain and active workspace are correct
  • The connected-store card shows the expected synchronization state and record counts
  • Any missing identity, webhook, pixel, or permission requirement is understood before downstream setup
Troubleshooting

If something doesn’t look right

Authorization returns to the wrong store

Sign out of unrelated Shopify sessions and reconnect the intended shop.

A data area remains empty

Confirm the approved scopes, connection status, selected account, and initial-sync progress.

Previously visible data stops updating

Reconnect the store if access was revoked or permissions changed, then allow synchronization to resume.

Scope

Limitations and safeguards

Limit

Connector updates are not instantaneous, and disconnecting stops future synchronization; retained historical reporting remains subject to workspace retention settings.

Important notes

Note

Disconnecting the store stops future synchronization. Existing reporting data may remain subject to your retention settings.
